Land form Experiment

Land form Experiment

                               Experiment one:Erosion and deposition
                                                 standard cup

Question: What happens when water flows over earth materials?
Hypothesis: If the water goes on earth materials then the materials will get lowered because water flow can cause erosion.
Materials: Ruler, stream table, wood angle, basin, standard cup, clay, sand and water.
Process: We collected a lot of sand. after that we used a ruler to measure twenty centimeters on the stream table. Then we filled the sand in with clay. Next we lifted the table and placed the wooden angle under it making sure the table is straight. After that we tipped in the stream table to make sure the whole dipped over the table. We placed the basin under the whole. Next we placed the ruler on the stream table we then put the standard cup on the ruler. Finally we put the water in the standard cup and observed.
Variables: The amount of water and the amount of sand or other earth materials
Data table:
Conclusion:In the end the water went under the sand and lowered down this showed that the water was strong to lower down the sand..
Evaluation: The stream of water erodes earths materials.
